Urban Raincatchers' Gazette
This website showcases innovative "green" stormwater management in the public sector, leadership from the grassroots, inspiration from NGOs and - above all - partnerships that empower citizens to become part of the solution to floods, droughts and stormwater problems.

In most cases, older established neighbourhoods are at the centre of these innovations. Common to all is the need to make the most of dwindling public funds in the face of crumbling (or nonexistent) infrastructure. Though each solution is "site specific," these pioneers clearly demonstrate that there are "green" alternatives to complement - and in some cases replace - the pumps and pipes of "traditional" infrastructure in our communities. And while such measures may not replace traditional infrastructure, many cities cite benefits of lower cost, increased property values, greater citizen awareness of stormwater issues, and more public support for innovation in the public sector.
